Her eyes blurred in the silvery blue sky as her feet crushed the dried weeds of the past. Dizziness flooded her weakened body and she stopped, allowing her mind to focus. Slowly, she opened her eyes to see two sets of tracks ahead of her merging into one, like two lives going through the same turmoils as one. Another step, her vision did not clear and the two sets of tracks still converged ahead. Near the tree, a dark figure rose and faced her. She thought she heard a voice call her name. One more step, almost there, almost safe.
