#TBT #HorrorMovie Review – Fright Night (1985)

If you’re looking for a great vampire movie, checkout Fright Night (1985), but I must warn, there are no sparkling vampires in this one. In 2011, they remade it, and I refuse to watch it, how can you make this movie better than the original.

Charlie watches the new neighbor carry a coffin into house, and at the same time pisses off his girlfriend who’s decided to have sex with the distraction. Evil Ed is my favorite character, his voice is like the teenage boy whose voice hasn’t finished changing and he’s constantly squeaking, even when he’s turned.

I think this is the first vampire movie I saw that had the rules; can’t come in unless invited, garlic, crucifixes, etc. Fright Night keeps me entertained no matter how many times I see it. There’s a great stalking scene, then there’s the mirror dance at the club, gives me the chills, so awesome and clever.

I totally recommend this one, it has real vampires, and it gets 4 out of 5 Stars from me.
