“When facing life’s difficulties, we seek answers.”
Today, I want to introduce you to someone wonderful for Rave Reviews Book Club’s Pay It Forward day, Gwendolyn Plano, who wrote Letting Go Into Perfect Love: Discovering the Extraordinary After Abuse (it’s the memoir of her journey to find answers to life’s mysteries).
While I have not read her book, I’ve learned as much as I can about her as possible to share with you as it may be something you need to continue your journey in peace. I do want to point out, I did read the book’s Introduction and scoured the pages of her website, so I can introduce you to someone, who at first was a stranger to me, but with what I’ve read about her, I feel as though I understand her, and can empathize with her experiences.
Reading the About page on Gwen’s website made me want to know more about her, and the story she is sharing with the world. The section that caught my attention the most was The Journey. Within it are the subsections; Generational Messages, Tragedy, Forgiveness, and Letting Go. At a high level, each discusses the human condition, how we are formed, and how to move forward in our lives, living to the fullest.
“Much of our life journey is about searching for a love that will not betray us through separation or death, a Perfect Love into which we can let go.”
The greatest thing to know for anyone suffering from any type of abuse is, you are not alone. There are people all over the world who have or are going through it, too. Gwen has been so kind as to provide a great set of Resources to help others with their journey.
As I said before, I’ve only read the Introduction for Letting Go Into Perfect Love: Discovering the Extraordinary After Abuse, but I can see bits of me in there, and I know others will, too.
