#HorrorMovie Review – The Haunting of Sharon Tate (2019)

If you don’t know who Sharon Tate is, you’re either a Millennial or you’ve been living under a rock. The Haunting of Sharon Tate (2019) explores the brutal murder of her and her friends by the Manson Family. Being the 50th anniversary of her death, I guess it’s appropriate that we remember her…the family?

The real events were an exploitation film, so why not make one to give some insight about Sharon; exploit her, if you will. The cast is interesting, Hilary Duff and Jonathan Bennett…actually, strange…then again, fitting. Hilary does resemble Sharon a little, but make-up and hairstyling can do amazing things. The gore was tasteful for the events, which had they gone too far I would’ve thought it was crass.

I’m probably unpopular with what I’m going to say next. I liked The Haunting of Sharon Tate. I thought they were respectful and didn’t go over the top like they easily could’ve.

I give it 4 out of 5 Stars.
