#HorrorMovie #Review – Crimson Peak (2015)

Don’t worry my child. Everybody has their place. I’ll make sure you find yours. Mrs. McMichael

I’m enamored with Crimson Peak (2015), it is one of the most stunning movies that I’ve seen in several years. Every time I see it, I find new things to delight me. I’ve always had a thing for Gothic Horror/Romance, which is how Hydrangeas on the Lanai came into life. While Hydrangeas is a combo of classic Gothic Horror and B-Movie, Crimson Peak is 100% Gothic Horror.

I think this is Guillermo del Toro’s greatest achievement and never hesitate to watch it when I see it in the guide. The set is amazing as are the costumes and effects. The story is creepy, and the feeling of something dark lurking is abundant. Tom Hiddleston is perfect as the tempter, Sir Thomas Sharpe; he’s an antagonist with his smooth and sexy, seduction of Edith with the first glance.

If you have not seen this film, you are missing out on something special. I give it 5 out of 5 Stars.
