#HorrorMovie Review – It (2017)

I went into this with the thought I don’t know It, I’ve never seen It or read It, because if I didn’t I wouldn’t be able to stop doing comparisons and I wanted to enjoy It and not hate it because it’s a remake; as far as remakes go, it wasn’t a bad reimagining.

It has many compelling moments, sure they changed some things around, but kept it relatively true to the story; I mean it wasn’t a made for TV Mini-Series, sorry, I wasn’t going to compare. It has many creepy scenes and great effects. Pennywise gives me the chills no matter the venue. His dancing was hysterical and dark and awful, I wanted to turn my head and scream, but I kept it in.

It has always been one of my favorite King stories, and this movie reinforced my love for It. If I were going to compare, I would have to say that Tim Curry’s Pennywise was better, but Bill Skarsgård did one hell of a good job with CGI.

I give It 4 out of 5 Stars.
