No One Gets Out Alive (2021) revolves around Ambar, an illegal immigrant trying to get a fake ID and a place to live that doesn’t answer many questions. Well, at least she finds a place to live.

A man runs the women-only boarding house she found, which I thought was odd, and there’s a reason. He looks as though he has a past he doesn’t want anyone to know about. Ambar has flashbacks of visiting her mother in the hospital. Strange things happen to her, like street lights going out as she walks down the street. I think she should’ve figured out something wasn’t right when she sees a moth when it’s the middle of winter in Cleveland.

The suspense in this film is tremendous and leads to something phenomenal. The monster that comes out of the box is like nothing I’ve ever seen before, and I hope never to find it lurking in my dreams anytime soon. Endings always make me wonder if there will be another, and No One Gets Out Alive leaves the door open.

No One Gets Out Alive is a must-see and I gave it 4 out of 5 Stars.
