Goodbye Sean

I wrote this four years ago today while I sat in the lobby of the car dealership getting my oil changed, but I never posted it, and it has been sitting in my draft folder all this time. As time has passed, it’s still feels like yesterday that we brought him home. Stranger yet, it’s like he’s still with us, but we just can’t see him.

It’s amazing how a pet can come into your life and steal your heart and soul. My partner, Harold, and I were blessed with a little tyke named Sean for a little over 14 years. He gave love like no other, and always seemed to know when it was needed the most.

Sean was the namesake of Shawn Brady from Days of Our Lives, and was Harold’s baby. He followed Harold around our homes. He liked to stand between the shower curtain and liner to make sure Harold was OK, and get the occasional spray of water in face.

To our sadness, our dear Sean went into the light on December 23, 2015. We will never be the same without his cuddles and kisses. We were blessed to have such a wonderful animal in our lives. Have fun in sun dear boy.
