Before I say anything else, I want to say I enjoyed Cursed (2005), even with all it’s flaws and confusion. Being a Wes Craven and a Christina Ricci fan is the biggest reason I watched it. Oh, it’s has the kid from Zombieland, Jesse Eisenberg, among other things. I always wonder why some actors always play the same character, and he is one of those. And the dude from The Affair and Fringe, Joshua Jackson, is in it, too; yeah, I’m sure he’s been in other stuff, but I didn’t see it.

This happened in The Lost Boys (1987), except with vampires, and I had a hard time wrapping my head around it there, too. If you kill the one at the top of the curse infection pyramid, then the curse is lifted, and you live happily ever after. How? Sometimes I don’t understand the rules of these creatures, therefore, I will leave it be. If some can explain it simply, please do in the comments. I’m really interested in it.

Like I said earlier, I like this film. It has the bizarreness of American Werewolf in London (1981), then at the same time it feels like a combo of Fright Night (1985), Teen Wolf (1985), and Once Bitten (1985). The CGI sometimes bothers me, but it wasn’t awful during the morphing sequence nor was the werewolf or Zipper’s unexpected transformation; holy fuck, that surprised me, and I liked it.

I was entertained with Cursed and like most aspects of it, so I’ll give it 3.5 out of 5 Stars. Is the curse really lifted?
